The ERGO TPS - Tropical Plus range has been designed to address the following challenges: a no-compromise compressor for intensive use, hot environments (poorly ventilated rooms or tropical countries), oversized cooling, and control systems for efficient monitoring of compressor operation. Equipped with 2 front-facing flexible inflation outlets, inter-stage pressure gauges, oil level and ventilation air temperature safety features, rotation direction detector, drive motor, robust compression block with oil pump and oil filter, automatic drains, and an electrical cabinet managing automatic compressor shutdown.
The ERGO TPS range is equipped with the MCH16 or MCH23 TROPICAL PLUS SUPERDRY compression block developed by COLTRI since 2010 and continuously improved to meet the performance, air quality, and robustness requirements for use in the most severe conditions.
The ERGO TPS 315 ET block is designed to last. It has been tested thousands of times in the most extreme conditions worldwide.
Adopted by managers of the largest diving centers in Europe, Egypt, the Caribbean, Polynesia, and Asia for its reliability and ease of maintenance.
With over 90,000 machines in operation in fire and rescue services in Europe, North America, and Asia, it is capable of handling high load rates at service pressures ranging from 330 bars to 420 bars.
The ERGO TPS 315 ET block is also installed on merchant and military ships to meet the needs of on-board safety services and divers.
Proven in the steel, automotive, plastics, and petrochemical industries to meet production needs under harsh conditions of use, it can meet the requirements of specific industrial processes.
In service in the military theaters of numerous armies worldwide, its robustness and reliability made it one of the selection criteria for the French army when renewing its machine fleet, with 150 compressors deployed in various theaters of operation around the world.
The ERGO TPS 315 ET compression block is designed for professional applications. It is the essential component of the machine on which COLTRI has left nothing to chance.
All materials are machined from high-energy lightweight alloys, ensuring increased reliability.
The honed cylinders undergo ionic nitriding treatment, resulting in a high surface hardness that provides excellent resistance to wear, friction, abrasion, and seizing.
The crankshaft is mounted on robust SKF bearings, guaranteeing a long lifespan of the block even at high temperatures.
The low-pressure gear oil pump and oil filter enable operation in severe operating temperature conditions.
The block is coated with a special paint that provides excellent heat dissipation while protecting it against external aggressions in saline atmospheres. The paint allows for easier maintenance when cleaning the cooling coils.
The inter-stage cooling coils are made of 316L stainless steel and are oversized in length (an average of 2 meters longer on each stage) and diameter (12 mm instead of 10 mm on the 1st and 2nd stages) to ensure optimal cooling and increased autonomy of filtration cartridges.
In addition to the separators on the 2nd and 3rd stages, a cyclone separator is standardly fitted from the 1st stage to remove maximum moisture at the outlet of the 1st stage.
The COLTRI ERGO TPS 315 ET block is designed to compress air and NITROX mixtures up to 40% Oxygen.
The welded frame of the ERGO TPS range promotes good cooling airflow and protects the user. The frame integrates the electrical cabinet, pressure gauges on all 3 stages, oil level safety feature, ventilation air temperature safety feature, rotation direction detector, electric motor, compression block, automatic purge and shutdown system, and filtration system. The epoxy powder resin paint provides effective protection in harsh environments. The retractable carrying handles allow for easy transport for mobile applications.
To optimize machine reliability in all environments (heat, humidity, saline atmosphere, storms, cold, etc.), COLTRI has chosen to forego the use of electronic control boards as standard. The entire machine is therefore controlled by a traditional electromechanical relay system. After years of service, any faulty component can be locally replaced without delay and without the constraints of cost and configuration associated with electronic boards.
The compressor's shutdown pressure switch, accessible on the front panel, allows for quick modification of the pressure range when lower-pressure inflation is required.
Pressure gauges on all 3 stages provide precise monitoring of the machine's operation.
The rotation direction detector prevents the machine from operating if, due to a problem with the electrical supply, the phases are reversed. This protects the machine from the risks of reverse rotation and the cooling issues they can cause.
The oil level safety feature and ventilation air temperature safety feature ensure reliable machine operation even when the user is not next to the compressor.
The automatic drain system equipped on the compressor is silent and efficient. Its adjustable timer allows for adapting the purge frequency based on ambient humidity levels.
The drain block is designed to consume minimal air during condensate evacuation to preserve flow performance.
The automatic drain system is equipped with a condensate recovery system with silencers, preventing the release of oily residues into the environment.
The ERGO TPS compressor is equipped with multiple filtration systems to ensure air quality compliance with the requirements of the EN 12021:2014 standard.
The compression block is equipped with cyclone separators on the 2nd and 3rd stages, as well as a double cooling coil on the 1st stage to promote condensation and cooling.
The final HYPERFILTER filtration system of 3L (2 filter bodies with a volume of 1.5L each) provides filtration of oil, odors, and water down to a dew point of -60°C. To minimize maintenance costs for dive centers, the cartridges can be recharged directly by the user using COLTRI molecular sieve and activated carbon, packaged under vacuum in a controlled atmosphere at the factory, ensuring uncompromised air quality and cost savings of up to 75%.
