The MCH22/30/36/45 OPEN range was designed to address the following challenge: a no-compromise compressor for intensive use, hot environments (poorly ventilated room or tropical countries), oversized cooling, and control systems that allow for effective monitoring of the compressor operation. Equipped with two flexible inflation outlets on the front, inter-stage pressure gauges and oil pressure, oil level safety, ventilation air temperature safety, direction of rotation detector, drive motor, robust compression block with oil pump and oil filter, automatic drains, and electrical cabinet managing the automatic shutdown of the compressor.
The MCH30/36 OPEN range is equipped with the MCH36-V5 compression block developed by COLTRI since 2005 and constantly improved to meet the performance, air quality, and robustness requirements required for use in the most severe conditions.
The MCH36-V5 block is designed to last. It has been tested thousands of times in the most extreme conditions around the world.
Adopted by managers of the largest diving centers in Europe, Egypt, the Caribbean, Polynesia, and Asia for its reliability and ease of maintenance.
With more than 10,000 machines in operation in fire and rescue services in Europe, North America, and Asia, it can handle high load rates at service pressures ranging from 330 bars up to 420 bars.
MCH36-V5 blocks are also installed on military ships to meet the needs of onboard security services and divers.

The MCH36-V5 compression block is designed for professional applications. It is the essential component of the machine on which COLTRI has left nothing to chance.
All materials are machined in lightweight alloys with high energy performance, allowing for increased reliability.
The rectified cylinders have undergone an ion nitriding treatment, which provides high surface hardness, promoting high wear, friction, abrasion, and seizure resistance.
The crankshaft is mounted on robust SKF bearings, guaranteeing a long lifespan of the block even at high temperatures.
The low-pressure gear oil pump and oil filter allow for operation in severe operating temperatures.
The block is painted with a special paint that allows for excellent heat dissipation while protecting it from external aggression in saline atmospheres. The paint allows for easier maintenance when cleaning the cooling coils.
The 316L stainless steel inter-stage cooling coils are oversized in length (2 meters more on average on each stage) and diameter to ensure optimal cooling and allow for increased autonomy of the filtration cartridges.
Separators on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stages eliminate as much moisture as possible before entering the final filtration system.
The COLTRI MCH36-V5 block is designed to compress air and NITROX blends up to 40% oxygen.
The welded mechanical frame of the OPEN range integrates the electrical cabinet, pressure gauges on all four stages, oil pressure gauge, oil level safety, ventilation air temperature safety, rotation direction detector, electric motor, compression block, automatic purging and stopping system, and filtration system. The powder-coated epoxy resin paint provides effective protection in harsh environments.
To optimize machine reliability in all environments (heat, humidity, salty atmosphere, storms, cold...), COLTRI has chosen to forego electronic board control systems as standard. The entire machine is therefore controlled by a traditional electromechanical relay system. After years of service, any faulty component can be replaced locally without delay and without the constraints of the cost of replacement and electronic card programming. However, it is possible for special industrial applications and rescue centers to optionally adapt a system with a touch screen and pressure sensors to control each parameter and safety.
The compressor's stop pressure switch, accessible on the front panel, allows for quick modification of the pressure range in case of a need to inflate at lower pressures.
The pressure reading gauges on all three stages allow for precise monitoring of the machine's operation.
The rotation direction detector prevents the machine from operating if, due to a problem in the electrical network, the phases are reversed. The machine is then protected from the risks of reverse rotation and cooling problems that they entail.
The oil level safety and ventilation air temperature safety ensure reliable operation of the machine even when the user is not beside the compressor.
The automatic purge system equipped on the compressor is quiet and efficient. Its adjustable timing allows for adapting the purge frequency according to the ambient humidity level.
The purge block is designed to consume a minimum amount of air when evacuating condensates in order to preserve flow performance.
The automatic purge system is equipped with a condensate recovery system with silencers. It prevents the release of oily residues into the environment.
The SILENT compressor range is equipped with several filtration systems to ensure air quality compliance with EN 12021:2014 standards.
The compressor block is equipped with cyclonic separators on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stages.
The final HYPERFILTRE filtration system of 3L (2 filter bodies of 1.5L volume each) ensures filtration of oil, odors, and water up to a dew point of -60°C. To minimize maintenance costs for dive centers, the cartridges can be recharged directly by the user using molecular sieves and COLTRI activated carbon packaged under vacuum in a controlled atmosphere factory, providing uncompromising air quality and costs reduced by 4.
It is possible to add the H.P RF500 refrigeration cooler as an option to multiply the cartridge autonomy by 5. This option is ideal for industrial applications or for dive centers that use their machine for more than 1000 hours per year, as the return on investment is very fast.
