COLTRI SILENT HD 450 ET Compressor

The MCH 22, MCH 30, and MCH 36 / MCH 45 SILENT compressor range was designed to meet the following requirements: a compressor without compromise for intensive use, hot environments (poorly ventilated room or tropical countries), a soundproofed machine, oversized cooling, and control systems for effective monitoring of compressor operation. Equipped with 2 flexible inflation outlets on the front, inter-stage and oil pressure gauges, an oil level and air ventilation temperature safety device, a rotation direction detector, a drive motor, a robust compression block with oil pump and oil filter, automatic drains, and an electrical cabinet managing the automatic shutdown of the compressor. Its specially designed body to improve cooling allows it to operate below 70 dBa.

The MCH 22/30/36/45 SILENT range is equipped with the MCH36-V5 compression block developed by COLTRI since 2005 and constantly improved to meet the performance, air quality, and robustness requirements required for use in the most severe conditions.

A proven compressor block!

The MCH36-V5 block is designed to last. It has been tested thousands of times in the most extreme conditions worldwide.

Adopted by managers of the largest diving centers in Europe, Egypt, the Caribbean, Polynesia, and Asia for its reliability and ease of maintenance.

With over 10,000 machines in operation in fire and rescue services in Europe, North America, and Asia, it is capable of delivering high load rates at service pressures ranging from 330 bars up to 420 bars of service pressure.

MCH36-V5 blocks are also installed on military ships to meet the needs of on-board security services and divers.

Proven in the steel, automotive, plastics, and petrochemical industries to meet production needs in severe operating conditions, it meets the needs of specific industrial processes.

In service with many airport security services, it is also popular with firefighting groups and military training academies. This is the compressor adapted to dive centers hosting more than 50 divers/day.

Compression block quality

The MCH36-V5 compression block is designed for professional applications. It is the essential component of the machine, on which COLTRI has left nothing to chance.

All materials are machined in high-energy performance lightweight alloys for increased reliability.

The honed cylinders have undergone ion nitriding treatment, which achieves high surface hardness promoting high resistance to wear, friction, abrasion, and seizure.

The crankshaft is mounted on robust SKF bearings, guaranteeing a long service life of the block even at high temperatures.

The low-pressure gear oil pump and oil filter allow operation in severe operating conditions.

The block is painted with a special paint that allows excellent heat dissipation while ensuring its protection against external aggressions in saline atmospheres. The paint allows for easier maintenance when cleaning cooling coils.

The inter-stage cooling coils in 316L stainless steel are oversized (2 meters longer on average on each stage) and diameter to ensure optimal cooling and allow for increased autonomy of filtration cartridges.

Separators on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stages remove maximum humidity before entering the final filtration system.

The COLTRI MCH36-V5 block is designed to compress air and NITROX blends up to 40% oxygen.

A Solid Frame!

The welded frame of the SILENT range promotes good cooling airflow and protects the user. The frame integrates the electrical cabinet, pressure gauges on all four stages, oil pressure gauge, oil level safety, ventilation air temperature safety, rotation sensing detector, electric motor, compression block, automatic purging and shut-off system, and filtration system. The powder-coated epoxy resin paint provides effective protection in harsh environments.

A Simple and Reliable Control System!

In order to optimize machine reliability in all environments (heat, humidity, salt air, thunderstorms, cold, etc.), COLTRI has chosen to forego electronic board control as standard. The entire machine is controlled by a traditional electromechanical relay system. After years of service, any possible faulty component can be locally replaced without delay and without constraints related to the cost of replacement and electronic card parameterization. However, it is possible for special industrial applications and rescue centers to adapt an optional system with a touchscreen and pressure sensors to control each parameter and safety.

The compressor's stop pressure switch, accessible from the front, allows for quick modification of the pressure range if lower pressures are required.

Pressure gauges on all three stages allow for precise monitoring of the machine's operation.

The rotation sensing detector prevents the machine from operating if there is a problem with the electrical network and the phases are reversed. The machine is then protected from the risks of reverse rotation and the cooling problems they cause.

The oil level safety and ventilation air temperature safety ensure reliable machine operation even when the user is not next to the compressor.

An Efficient and Environmentally Friendly Automatic Purging System!

The automatic purging system that equips the compressor is silent and efficient. Its adjustable timing allows the purging frequency to be adapted according to the ambient humidity level.

The purging block is designed to consume a minimum of air during condensate evacuation to preserve flow performance.

The automatic purging system is equipped with a condensate recovery system with silencers to avoid the discharge of oily residues into the environment.

Filtration for Breathable Air Quality!

The SILENT compressor is equipped with several filtration systems to ensure air quality that meets the requirements of EN 12021:2014.

The compressor block is equipped with cyclonic separators on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stages.

The HYPERFILTER final filtration system of 3L (2 filter bodies of 1.5 L volume) ensures filtration of oil, odors, and water down to a dew point of -60°C. To minimize maintenance costs for dive centers, cartridges can be recharged directly by the user using COLTRI molecular sieve and activated carbon packaged under vacuum in a controlled atmosphere at the factory, providing uncompromised air quality and cost savings of up to 4 times.

It is possible to add the RF500 High-Pressure Refrigeration Cooler option to increase cartridge autonomy by a factor of 5. This option is ideal for industrial applications or dive centers that use their machine for more than 1000 hours per year; the return on investment is very quick.
