Waterproof DL200 housing (DRY LOCK) for the Nikon D800 digital camera

This next-generation housing offers excellent handling. The transparent Lexan on the back door allows for verifying the camera's positioning and control levers within the housing. Specially formulated gray color reflects sunlight for better long-term cooling, especially beneficial for devices recording in 4K. Compared to black or transparent housings, the gray color provides superior contrast for better LCD screen visibility. The levers and buttons enable the use of nearly all original camera functions. A flash socket, via a waterproof connector, allows for the use of an external flash from the Ikelite range: DS51, 125, 160, 161. The sync cable connection prevents the internal camera flash from firing, significantly increasing autonomy. Using TTL requires purchasing a separate converter and TTL hot shoe flash bracket. Extra-large, flexible zoom control allows for precise focal adjustment. The housing comes with a 1/2" vacuum valve for pre-dive leak testing (manual pump for vacuum sold separately).   • Please note, this housing doesn't include a port! The port is essential to make the system waterproof and must be separately ordered based on the type of lens used. Please consult for personalized advice on this matter.

This housing allows access to all the important camera controls for underwater photography, except for:

  • Diopter correction dial
  • Release mode dial lock button

  • Metering selector
  • Focus mode selector lock
  • Focus mode selector

Compatible Ports and Domes:

This housing accommodates the use of most lenses thanks to its DL-type port system "DRY LOCK".

Compatible External Flashes:

Using an external flash is recommended for improved color rendering and subject exposure. Using a flash with an optical fiber triggering system isn't possible with this housing.

To utilize the TTL function of Ikelite flashes, a NIKON electronic TTL converter (ref. IKE46054) must be purchased separately.

Recommended flashes include:

  • Flash DS51 II (TTL with NIKON converter 46054 and Manual)
  • Flash DS160 II (TTL with NIKON converter 46054 and Manual)
  • Flash DS230 (TTTL with NIKON converter 46054 and Manual)
  • Inon S220 (manual mode only)
  • Sea & Sea YS-D3 Duo (manual mode only)
